These pieces deal with culture in a digital age. All access information has become the norm; it's not a matter of the answer anymore, but an understanding of the right question, or series of questions. The facility of reproducibility becomes the process in the work. The disconnection of imagery, coupled with a very personal identity to the imagery lends the viewer two altering points of access into the work. The works simplistic nature also aids in the immediate connection one has to the piece. Like seeing an old friend you just met for the first time.
Much like the digital age we live in, with multiple access points, passwords, and identities, the processes of simple daily activities have become more simplistic and more complex simultaneously. For me this is a key concept in the understanding of how fine art still plays a role in today's complex cultural landscape.
